Why Do Outdoor Lights Need Burn-In Testing?

At present, there is a case that the stability of outdoor lights is tested by testing the function of outdoor lights. Burn-In testing is to make the outdoor lights operate in unusual special environment, or to make the outdoor lights run beyond the target.  As long as the performance of outdoor lights can remain stable under these conditions, it will certainly work well in other environments.  

After the production of outdoor lights, there will often be dark light, flashing, failure, intermittent brightness and other phenomena. Sometimes even not bright, lamps can not be as long as the expected service life. There are three main reasons for this phenomenon.

A. When making outdoor lights, there are problems in the welding process, such as welding temperature is too high or welding time is too long, and anti-static work is not done well.  

B. The quality of outdoor lights or the manufacturing process of outdoor lights are not good.  

C.The heart of outdoor lights - driver has a quality problem.  

In order to prevent the damage of outdoor lights caused by quality problems, or to prevent the damage of outdoor lights in the packaging process, three preventive measures are generally taken: 

A. Before assembling outdoor lights, the driver burn-in test should be done to ensure that the driver is good.  

B. Control the welding manufacturing process.  

C. Conduct burn-in testing on outdoor lights with aging line. Among them, burn-in test with outdoor lights aging line is an essential link in the production of outdoor lights. Burn-in test on outdoor lights is an important measure to ensure the reliability of electronic products, and is an essential step after the normal production of products.

Outdoor lights can improve their performance after aging, and contribute to the stability of their performance in later use. Outdoor lights burn-in test includes two ways: constant current constant voltage aging and overcurrent impact aging.  

The first is constant current and constant pressure aging. Constant current aging is the most consistent with the working characteristics of current, the simulation is the use of outdoor lights in normal environment, and then observe the quality and color of lamps and other problems;  

Second, overcurrent shock aging. This is a kind of aging method recently adopted by manufacturers. By adjusting frequency and current, we can judge the service life of outdoor lights in a short time, so as to check out the outdoor lights with hidden damage.
